This Sunday

Join us on Zoom this Sunday at 10 am. Our guest preacher will be Deirdre Doyle, who will tell us about her high school trip to the South to learn about the history of civil rights. We'll also have a special Giving Sunday collection for Puente, a nonprofit that fosters wellness and prosperity on the San Mateo County south coast by promoting and advocating for equitable access to education, health, and economic security. Help plan the future of our church

Moderator Jim Garrison writes: “Are you concerned about the future of CHC after Polly steps back at the end of this year? Are you willing to help plan our way forward? Are you able to do what needs to be done to start the search process? Please contact me so that we can get together within the next two weeks and get the ball rolling.”

Aug 6: Memorial for Lynne Shafsky

Please plan to join us at the church on Sat, Aug 6 at 1:30 pm. We'll celebrate the life of Lynne Shafsky, who died last year. From her obituary: “Lynne was committed to connecting with and helping people. She worked as a dental hygienist for 50 years, developing relationships with her patients. She was also a life-long social justice activist. Growing up, she accompanied her mother to bring food to migrant farmworkers. As a mother, she took her sons to UFW meetings. As a grandmother, she was active in political campaigns and supported social justice organizations.”
